Given the regurgitation of more than the odd old thread, maybe the 'Posted:' line ought to start including the year? I presume the info is on the database and it's just that the current date format doesn't show it.

It's a bit weird to start reading something that at first you think is only a few months old to then realise it's 14, 26, 38 months old or more. Confused

Hmmm, just noticed a side effect of this change is that now the index pages only list the date of the last post and not the date/time...

unintended surely? Or was it always like that and my memory is playing tricks on me???

I knew the site had changed! Couldn't pin pont what though! Hopefully this will stop 2 year old threads being digged up at the thought they are recent. Laughing

Would it also be possible to give a warning before someone resurects an old post. On submit you could check the date against the date on the last post and display a confirm box.

It's still on individual posts, just not the indexes. Too crowded with the year as well, so I chopped off the times...

Hi

Only appears when you go into the thread, and it was useful for checking if you had already read a thread but it had just not registered as read.

All the best

Keith

Can you not just have the date as say "7th Jan 05" instead of 2005 would make it less cluttered thus giving us the time back. Thinking

I fail to see the importance of the time, if you want to know so badly go into the thread.

Is quite good to glance at a thread and see when it was last posted in etc.
Just something I was used to I spose?

Because the net connection at work is so slow that going into a thread when you do not need to is slower than an arthritic tortoise swimming in jelly.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 19 years, 102 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
