One of my mates moved to the UK for a bit when he was 19 and managed to go straight for a Duke 748 SS (from a DT100 here). He told them he had prior riding experience and they let him through, apparently.

My list is:

A Derbi GPR50 @ 16, cant say i had any problems, and quite liked it other than stupid tank would flick open randomly.

Sachs XTC125 @ 18 Excellent bike it really was no problems, good speed, not 2 stroke league but a 2 stroke wouldnt of be suitable for my needs, bit pricey but i earnt the money so why not get the best i can!

And currently i have an SV650S just after turning 19, still 19, but the bike is currently waiting a new front wheel after nurburgring crash in the summer. Love it to bits and dont think i will every sell it. Very Happy

About a 748 at 19, the best quote i got for a 749 dark was just over £900 tpft, so possible but WILL be expensive.

I thaught the Jetfore was meant to be the fastest in the range Shocked
Or was that just some selling scam?

Was given an Italjett new 100 road-ish bike at about 14ish. That bike had all its frame numbers/engine numbers filed off, so god knows how many times it'd been stolen.

Next came the MZ ETZ 125 about 4 months ago, £200

Then the Yams XJ600 a couple of weeks ago £425. Lovely.
