When i first fitted my renthas I had to wiggle the wires that run into my clutch lever to get the bike to start.
today i've checked the conectors and tightened them to make sure they are making contact with the wireing in the clutch lever housing. Now i cant get anything to happen even when i fiddle with these wires. When i press the starter nothing at all happens.
I've checked the kill switch and it is off and connected corectly.
Thanks For your help
J

Does it have one of these switches on the clutch so if its in gear you need to pull the clutch in?

Just a stab in the dark.

Hi

Does sound like the clutch switch has died. I killed the one on the 1200 Bandit by removing the clutch lever without taking the switch off first, which broke the pin that connects to the lever.

Chances are that you just need to either disconnect both wires, or connect them together and the bike will run fine (just watch out as it will operate the starter motor with the engine in gear without the clutch being pulled).

All the best

Keith

Well the bike works again. Went back to it this afternoon and the engine would turn but not fire, played around a bit and got it started. Dont know what the problem is. the Kill switch is a bit dodgy you need to put very little pressure on it to turn the engine off, and it wont start again untill i've turned the ignition off then on again.
