... after a stone hit me in the eye at 50mph! Damn fogged up visor.

Scratched up the surface, and also a bruised retina.

It's slowly getting better, got some antibiotic ointment stuff. It should be OK in about a week.

But blimey, it was like being hit with a golf club! And it irritates the hell outta my eyelid, as it scratches every time I blink. Gets me a day off work though Thumbs Up

Surprised you didnt loose control. Did the stone just come from a car tire?

50mph with your visor up? Is that not harsh on your eyes?

I get watering eyes at 30.

That depends on the wind direction. If it's blowing towards you, yes. I sometimes have my visor up at 50-60mph.

I hate having the visor open anyway, makes me nose get cold and starts to run. Smile

Unlucky. Thumbs Up

That really looks grim. You'll probably be needing glasses afterwards. I think in such an event, you were very bloody unlucky as always ride with my visor UP - but i've always worn glasses or my nifty little invention so i don't really feel the debris as much.

Ack, not nice! hope its all fixed soon...

Reminds me of haveing a wasp fly into my helmet (dont be dirty) stingin my face and then flying out the back, very easyly could have been dead because of that little **@£! i hate wasps, they're just scum...

But yeh, visor up you take yer chances...its up most of the winter (because of the constant foging) and down most of the summer (becuase of the plague of bugs that follow).

Nasty!! Sad Make sure you get enough shut-eye (sleep) so your eyes do not have to work much, letting the eye recover under less stress Smile

Your lucky to still be able to see. But in saying that, eyes are very tough, even trying to push a razor sharp medical knife into one is tricky. no joke. (Biology lessons)

Take care, and fix up quick eh Thumbs Up

Vision is slightly blurred compared to before, though it's probably the ointment TBH. It don't help either when my dog headbutts a tennis ball into it!

LOL how ironic.

It's like when you hurt your finger/toe- you'll always bash that particular part of yourself on doors/corners etc....
