Any RS50's which can actually do those speeds I'd be interested to see. You don't get any bike but you do get to shut everyone up about saying RS50's don't go that fast.

When I had my MHR cylinder on, I could get a true 72mph out of my moped via digital speedo. Now im luck to get 60. anyway, I used to smoke the RS50 / RS70 on acceleration, but they werent far behind on top end. Id say a derestricted RS50cc with no mods will probably do 55 - 60mph on a flat out decent straight. The only problem with this is because the gears are so wide, they take FOOKING ages to get there!

That looks like a pretty cool bike, bit strange bt cool Razz.

I've got about 68mph out of my Der bi GPR with an MK, it's possible, and alot easier as the GPR's gearing's alot closer than RS-50's.

There's a Derbi 50cc over here that does - no shit, 100mph, shit quick and it's a true 50cc, it's got a £10,000 racing engine in it though.

i reckon the most a standard with a pipe rs 50 would do is 75 max,
With the right roller's and sport's pipe.

Cos my nrg did 30mph then i got 1 thing done to it a ginnelli pipe and it done about 65,
So its a big diffrence some make it miles slower Thumbs Up

The whole 50ccs doing 75mph annoys me.

I have a 125, over double the capacity and mine struggles to hit 70mph.

Nope, it's a 2 stroke.

admittedly it is 11 years old, with over 20k miles on the clock. I do thrash it from cold every day. But it will easily power wheelie in first, and attempt to in second.

But alas, very little top end.

Find last months Bike magazine with the articles on beastly racing bikes. There's a 50 in there which did 109mph I think, and had sixteen gears. The rider constantly had to alter the choke and the oil mixture to stop it from seizing.

Right then.

Here is a 50cc RS50 that goes well over 75.

the team created a new version of the RS50 motor, making an amazing 25 horse power at the rear wheel and speeding over 100 mph at sea level.

The fastest 50cc bike we have done here is a road racing application which is tuned differently than a top speed racer but still managed speeds in the upper 80 mph range at this altitude.

So a 50cc road bike hitting the upper 80's.

Maybe you should do some revision before moaning! Wink Thumbs Up

Thats isnt exactly a rs50 though is it, as it is highly modified. I think the arguement was over standard rs50's going 75mph is stupid.

How is it not an rs50??
When bought it was an rs50, it was then modified with uprated suspension, lengthened swingarm and some engine tuning.

No-one said that, they just said RS50's or 50cc's.
