not bad pics mate,
try using a slightly longer shutter and panning with the bikes, this will blur the background and the wheels. Try 1/125th of a second to start with, and experiment.
Also try lightening them a bit and drop the ISO, they are all a bit 'noisy' look up close at the pictures and you will see little random coloured dots, that's digital noise. one of the problems with didgital cameras and the 300 is the noise it generates. I always shoot in ISO100 until it starts getting dark and then go up to 200/400 but do start to notice the noise.
Look about 2/3 of the way down this site to see the 'noise' in action:
HERE
If you push the 'info' button when reviewing the images on the camera you can get a histogram which will show you how the image is exposed, i.e if all the pixels are at the left of the curve the image will be dark. experiment and try to get a nice spread of pixels.
When I first started taking pictures I used to spend ages in Photoshop cleaning them up, I'm working now on not using Photoshop unless I have to. (I'm not there yet but getting better)
I've tried to clean one up and it hasn't come out too bad.
Swaffs.
we should do lots of experimenting at the end of the month ____________________ Swaffs Photography |
