few queries regarding track days/racing

hi, id reeeeealy like to do a track day. but i have some problems. first off i have no idea what i need to take, dress wise. are there cripplingly large numbers of regualtions, because i hear that even if it rains you wont be let out? i remember i got a telling off for not holding the handrail at my work! so i know crazy regulations are around in businesses.
also i would like to rent a bike,as mine is pathetic, learner legal infact aww,and i get blasted out the way on the road can i do that as im 18 and so i have to pay for other peoples mistakes in ma insurance for large bikes, hence me not owning one! can i rent a motorcycle for race use tho?i have a few points as well.

ps im not a chav, and no i dont ride a scooter, or ride in a football shirt and no helmet

Leathers - one piece or two piece that zip together all the way round.

Helmet should allegedly have a gold ACU sticker, but I've never seen anyone checked.

Plenty places hire track bikes - hit google.

Yes, they let you out in the rain. Occasionally if it's really bad the day will be cancelled but usually they leave you to it.

Trackdays really aren't all that strict.

lol, great. my jacket zips only at the back, must i fix this? no where seems to mention age in the rental can i assume im ok

I was fine on at Brands Hatch last week, my jacket is only 3/4 length zip and they didn't bat an eye at that.

Can textiles be worn at a track day, i.e my textile jacket and leather trousers?
