a gear is usually about £80
its the labour that costs
there easy to make if your a gear cutter like me |

ive got an old r6 engine including gearbox from a 2000 R6 at work,
had to be replaced cos the owner had worn out al the selector forks, gears them selves are fine tho, ill take a look tomorrow and get back to you. ____________________ Bikes owned :- 2001 nsr125, 1999 zx6r, 2006 yzf-r1, 2009 xmax 250, 2012 yzf-r1, 2015 MT-07
Current bike : - 2016 MT-10

It would probably be better to have a hunt through the Yamaha parts lists and find suitable standard gears. Basically the same engine is used on the FZ750, FZX750, FZ700, FZR1000, FZR1000 EXUP, FZR750, FZR750 OW01, YZF750, GTS1000, Thunderace and YZF750 / YZF750SP. Good chance that you can source a suitable couple of gears from one of those.
This guy might be worth contacting as he has a wealth of knowledge on the older 5 valve Yamaha engines.
