NRG,

Just a thought, as When I bought my SFX I took the front pannel off (as my electric start wasnt working) and found a lead that wasnt secure in it's place and also not connected up properly. I connected it and inserted into its hold and replaced the pannel, it now works.

It may be worth a look. My indicators were working (as I rode it home, when I bought it), but it's always worth looking to make sure all wires are connected and secure.

Good luck!

Right ive sorted a few things on it. The previous owner says the electric start has never worked when he had it(he had it for a year). When i try the electric start it just does a single click in the fuel tank area. anyone any ideas?

Take it to a garage, 80 quid will sort the problem out. When i had my NRG, it would only run on one bulb, not use electric start and generally often used to cut out. The fuse is right next to the battery - i believe it's a 10 A fuse, but best check.

The problem is the connections on these bikes are shit so you may have to inspect the connections with a multimeter and resolder. It's pretty easy to do on the NRG cos all you have to do is pop off the front fairing.

A new battery might help. What model NRG is it? I had an 00 DT model.

In all honesty, just take it to a garge to sort and it'll be as good as new.

its an nrg extreme air cooled model. I would rather avoid the garage, luckyily mine has NEVER cut out since i have had it. i will have a look on ebay to see if someone is breaking a nrg, get a starter from there.

You've probably snapped the speedo cable. This is very common on piaggio bikes, my Typhoon used to go every couple of weeks & i knew a few people with the same problom.
