For those who've missed it before, this is my 400 in its current state. Plans include single seat with bar and rack (for my tent! Smile), small screen, checkaplate panels, full paintjob...... due to start in about a month hopefully so watch this space. All ideas gratefully received!

Mine's a ZL, the engine looks similar though.

I've never got on with the ENs. Although the seats are very low the front end always seems very high to me - not good when you have short arms!

Yeah they are abit weird to ride. I want to get rid of mine already, it was fun for a bit but I like handling way too much, it was free too so thought i'd try it out. I'll probably sell it for around £300.

Soooo tempted...... Laughing

It's on a C-reg IIRC (not looked for a while Embarassed ) and it's done about 25k I think.

The engine seems OK, it certainly starts & runs but once it comes out of the shed Himself is going to give it a full going-over just to be sure.

He will be doing mechanicals for me, but all the rest will be down to me. He's getting me my very own polishing kit! We know a few people who make one-off parts so what I'm hoping for at the end of the day is something that, whilst not a custom and certainly not a show-winner, will get people who walk past it to maybe just stop for a second look or at least say "oh that's a nice-looking bike".

Once the 400 is on the road, there's a good chance that the 250 (which is scruffy as fuck anyway) may find itself looking distinctly ratty in the future........ Wink

just think how pleased you will be when its done, all ya own work and all that!!!

At least you can have some fun deciding what to do with it and it will have bags of character...sadly lacking in some off the peg bikes!
