Bemsee Minitwins Snetterton 25/26 March 2006 report 1

Here's the first report I have written, please fee free to rip my writing ability apart.
(be gentle on the photos though)

Twickenham based bike racer Jon White (BCF 'Jon') enjoyed a fantastic start to his racing career when he took 1st position in class on his debut, at the BMCRC Nationwide Clubman Minitwins Championship at Snetterton Park at the weekend (Mar 25-26).

White on his West London Suzuki Sv650 Qualified in 12th place in a grid of 34, this put him ahead of many experienced racers.

Making a last minute tyre change prior to race start, as the circuit was drying out after overnight rain, he managed to hold his position ahead of all the other rookies. Finishing 14th overall, he was 1st from the rookie riders earning him his 1st trophy. In race 2 he was 11th place and 2nd rookie.
By the end of day 1 he had one trophy and 7 championship points.

Sunday was equally successful with 10th and 12th places from over 30 finishers in both rookie and senior classes.

The final tally was 17 championship points, and one trophy from a fantastic weekends riding.

White has 2 weeks now until the next round at Lydden Hill and hopes to add to his silverware.

Cheers all, enjoyed the weekend! Just need to start fighting Barry on track to try and win the Rookie championship (currently 2nd) only problem is he's a damn talented racer considering it's his first race season not easy!
