I don't ask much do i Mr. Green

I'm very tempted by an R6, or gsxr 600 for my next bike in a few weeks, as my restrictions up.

I do have a little bit of a bad back, from an injury a long time ago. So i've been thinking about the supermoto, trail bike option.

I do about 20 - 40 miles a day on A roads, dual carriage ways etc.

Is that something i could do on a supermoto/trial bike?

I want something fast and fun though!

thanks all

Alex

tbh a supermoto will never be quick onan a road 120mph tops
the crf 250 not great for the job to much servicing
all supermotos are great fun but not ideal as a comuter bike unless its twistys all the way then you wont find a better bike
new supermotos have very hard narrow seats which will make your back worse
if you want a bike as a toy great supermotos are tops ive owned a few and still own 1 now
if you want a bike for everyday use your best steering clear

well i used my CRM125 happily for commuting a 35 mile a day round trip although the top speed wasnt that great.

the 250 has a much higher top end but if your after speed then a supermoto/enduro isnt what you want.

You would need one of the 1000cc V-twin hypermoto bikes if you want something that in real world conditions can keep up with an R6. Even some of these bikes like all supermoto's are heavily compromised, usually to far one way or the other. (Road/Offroad-competition). Like someone has already said for anything other than in town and city type riding for short distances and in heavy traffic, then a commuter style/streetbike machine is far better, and on fast open roads and dual track's they are far more fun than any supermotard ever would be!
