i just saw the most idiotic thing at a petrol station today, a woman filling up her rather large suzuki monster truck parks up with the pump on her left and the filler cap is on the right of the beast,
not only that she parks 2 feet away from the pump and cant get the pump to reach round and into the hole, Thumbs Up

she then attempts the awesome stunt of airborne petrol delivery Rolling Eyes after covering the side of her barn sized car and getting a nice pool of it on the floor she decides to give up and hang the pump, move the beast 1 foot closer and try again, Razz

it works this time but it does make me scared that we share the roads with these lot and they don't know the size of their own vehicle and don't seem too aware that petrol pumps are not to be used to wash your car with.

Saturday and sunday (i think) are the most dangerous days to be on the road for a biker, "They're all out on the road" Thumbs Down

i have decided to shy away from shopping estates on weekends as a result Laughing

Kinda makes me piss sometimes, the ques at the pumps because people want to get the filler next to the pump. The pumps are designed to reach around most cars / vans etc. As long as there's a free diesel pump i can fill my Discovery no matter which side the pump is on.

If it was a man he would have carried it off OK.

We've had practice for years. Cool

Either way if I had seen her doing that I'd have told her in no uncertain terms how much of a dopy cow she was being.

Don't Suzuki Vitaras have the exhaust at the side too? Free flowing fuel... Hot exhaust. It would almost have been funny if she went up in a ball of flame.

I did say almost.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

poor car drivers they are often 2 stupid to realise that the filler nozzle has a great big tube atached to it that can reach around if you can park close to the pump and use a little brain power. Yet another reason why bikes are better than cars we have the filler right in the middle and even if we parked 6 foot away from the pump it would still reach.

And that stupid woman mabye next time that happens its time to get out the zippo light it and its "yippie ki ay motherfucker" time! Thumbs Up

Some petrol stations now have really short hoses that don't reach over.
