I have done 5 years worth of road riding and want to do some offroad riding. A few questions:

1. Where can i find definitions of the different types of riding/biking e.g motocross, enduro etc....? Basically which one will suit me best as i dont want to do road riding and dont wanna pay MOT or tax but live in london so what would be best for me.

2. I like the look of the honda CR125. Can anyone give me some info on this bike? I want to be able to service it myself. Im used to haynes manuals for sportsbikes so is there an equivalent? Or a workshop manual.

Anyone owned a cr125? Some opinions of the bike pls?

Cheers.

Basically:

Enduro : for 'endurance racing' - these tend to have lower service intervals, be heavier and have less power.

motocross : this is the equivelent of a 125GP or 250GP bike of the dirt world, so very fast and focused, light weight and makes lots of power, but needs regular maintenance. Can be a bit of handfull.

Trials : for going up rather than accross things.

Supermoto : Fitted with road tyres and better front brake, for road use.

If you live in London, can you get your bike to somewhere you can ride it without a long push (ie van, trailer etc if required)? If not, it'd be worth looking at a road registered one I'd have thought.

You can get workshop manuals for most off road bikes.
