Croft would be a good choice. Oulton Park is an awesome track and my favourite, it's fairly technical though, lots of blind entries etc.

I'm about to do my first at Oulton. Croft is better for run off if you make a mistake but it looked a little boring to me, like riding round your local Tesco car park. Oulton looks great and all the experienced trackday riders seem to rate it too. There's not much room for error but from vids of trackdays i've seen, people seem to just follow each other round in convoy. They're probably quicker than they look to be but certainly not pushing it to the edge.

I wouldn't make statements like that till you've tried it, I can almost guarantee that at normal trackday pace you'll shit yourself. You're not walking round it you know!
Good luck at Oulton.

Like i said, they are probably going quicker than they look, especially in intermediate and fast but they don't seem that fast in the novice group which i will be in.

I've seen croft in the flesh so to speak and i maintain, it looks boring. I might try it on a cheap £60 day though.

I don't go out there expecting to be the fastest but there will certainly be nobody shiting themselves. Karma

Snetterton was were I did my first track day and is a pretty simple track to start with. Plenty of time on the straights to think about the corners.

Not in a very north west position mind.
