Hey
Thanks for looking, this looks like a great forum, ive got just a few questions regarding getting my first offroad bike.
Im currently looking at a bike being sold local to me and was offered it for £350
Its a SUZUKI RM 1988 MODEL, described as clean for its age, has been standing a while, runs ok sounds good, has no leaks, front pipe has 2 minor dints down below, rear tyre and break pads are new, he boughts as restoration project to race in evo class

My questions are:
Im not buying this because its vintage or older or whatever im just
looking for a bike to play on private land is this bike sutiable for that?
Or for the money can i get a newer more sutiable bike?
Is this bike good value for money at £350?
Thanks guys any help is greatly appreciated |

Are you planning on using the bike only on private property?
There's been a clampdown by councils and the police, over the last couple of years, on off-road bike usage, prompted by (on the whole) chavs and pikeys on mini-motos and illegal bikes being a nuisance.
If you're planing on using the bike for 'green-laning' on public byways, it will need to be road legal, and be fully MOT'd and insured.
If it's an offroad bike for track use only, then don't worry about it.
