I ride a CBR250R, and before that a CG125. I rode on L-plates for 8 years (that's right, 4 CBTs). I have Cat-A but prefer the 250 class for many, many reasons. I dispute the common assertions that (a) small bikes are less fun, (b) small bikes are not 'proper' bikes, (c) mopeds, scooters and maxi-scooters are contemptible and (d) loud pipes save lives. If a loud pipe saves your life, you were riding incompetently.
