My BCF Intro: Good day all,
I’m retired; living the good life in Morocco and Northern California. I’m happy to join your forum, and hope to be a useful contributor. Been riding since age 16. I’ve owned 21 bikes in the 55 years since then. Rode a 1962 BMW R60 for 29 years; then put 107,000 miles on a Honda PC800. My favorite bike of all time is the fifth generation Honda VFR 800. My ’98 VFR had 117,000 miles on the clock when I sold it, and my 2000 VFR had 36,000 on it when my son crashed it. After the VFR, I downsized (power wise) to a BMW R1150R which I rode for 6 years, recently sold. I’ve done all my own maintenance over the years, including electrical repairs on both VFR’s and the PC800, and hope my experience might be of value to somebody.
in 2019 I purchased a Yamaha YBR 125 for tooling around the country roads here in Morocco. It’s a cracking little bike, and I’m having as much fun on it as I have had on any other bike I’ve owned. Check out this link: https://advrider.com/f/threads/riding-moroccan-backroads-on-a-yamaha-ybr-125.1378514/ There are a lot of YBR’s in the UK, which is why I joined Bike Chat Forum. The only dedicated YBR discussion group I’m aware of is on Facebook, but I refuse to go there; that cocksucker Zuckerberg belongs in prison. The BCF has some interesting YBR related content, so this is where I go to get online info from fellow riders.
That’s enough for now. The UK jargon is a little foreign to me, but I’ll figure it out. Take care all. Keep the rubber side down. Peace, Jeff J.
