Hi, My name is Mark and I'm a Bikeoholic!

I have a 2008 Triumph Street Triple R as my fun bike. The Triumph is an awesomely capable machine. Fast, light and sweet handling. Good if you want pure adrenaline.

My project bike is a Kawasaki KR1S. I've always had at least one two stroke sports bike ever since I rode a mates TZR250 2MA back in 2005. I suppose it harks back to my first ever bike, an NS125R. The KR1S is fast, frenetic and amazing fun. I've had it for years but it's been off the road for most of that time. I've just finished sorting out the last couple of niggles from an engine rebuild, but now I need to pay some attention to the brakes because they've seized on.

I recently bought myself a 2012 GSXR750 L1 as my track bike. It was a coddled road bike but now with braided hoses, Brembo master cylinder, quick action throttle and some R&G stuff, it's just about right.

I often commute into London and because of the ULEZ expansion I bought a Suzuki GSX-S1000F. It's a weapon. Sure, it might look like a giant glum bird of prey which has really let itself go since it's wife and kids left but it's quick, comfy and for some unfathomable reason handles like a GP bike. Maybe the softer suspension suits my weight? Anyway, it's an unexpectedly great bike. I wanted a sports tourer with the emphasis on sports, and I didn't need hard luggage, and I got what I wanted. This is the first bike where I've had the thought that I might not need the Street Triple any more... Blasphemy I know, but nevertheless that's how good this bike is.

I love solo riding and trackdays, and have been known to participate in the odd ride-out. All the way back in July 2005 I went touring in Scotland (with Bendy and Robby) and I enjoyed every minute. Since then I've been to wales a couple of times with my other half, and that has been great fun so I think touring is something I'll get back into, especially as I now a more suitable bike!

A few years ago I have got into pitbike supermoto racing and raced for a couple of years in the Matchams Pitbike series. I knocked this on the head in favour of trackdays for the time being, but I might go back to it (now known as the Clay Pigeon Pitbike Series).

I have a strong interest in engineering and I'm a bit of a bike nerd so I might have a go at answering your technical questions too - if I can be bothered! Very Happy

Bike magazine recently did an article where they featured a man who had owned 25 bikes in 40 years of riding... well it seems I've owned 31 in 25 years of riding. Ignoring the 4 I've mentioned I've owned (in rough order): An NS125R, a VFR400 NC21, an SV650S, a Triumph Daytona 955i, two Triumph TT600's a Yamaha TZR250, a Buell XB12R, a VFR400 NC30, a Suzuki RGV250, a Kawasaki KE100, a Honda Fireblade 954, a GasGas Pampera 250, A Triumph Speed Four, 2x RD350YPVSs a RD350LC, another SV650S, a Buell XB12S Lightning, an MZ ETZ 301 Saxon Fun, a Yamaha FZR400RR, a Stomp YX140 Pitbike, a Buell XB12R (the second one), a year 2000 VFR800 Fi (pre VTEC) and a Honda CBR600RR road legal track bike

I work in London for a company involved in Broadcasting.

I live near Basingstoke and am originally from Reading.

As for music, I like Rock and Metal and electronic dance music of some types. My two favourite bands/acts are Iron Maiden and The Prodigy.
