20 years experience as a Police motorcyclist, had to retire due to a serious injury sustained whilst working. On retirement specialised in motorcycle accident investigation working for a number of insurance companies and private law firms, particularly in respect of catastrophic and fatal crashes. Still involved in motorcycle accident investigation and I am required to advise lawyers, Barristers and in some cases Judges on various aspects of motorcycling.

Until 2004, I was one of only 4 people in the UK approved to instruct and examine candidates on the RoSPA national diploma in advanced motorcycle instruction
Whilst a serving Police officer and after my retirement, I have attended road safety courses at RoSPA in Birmingham, Horncastle and Cardington.
Ran my own motorcycle business, which also included running CBT, DAS and advanced courses, and in 1990 I was appointed as chief motorcycle examiner for RoSPA and was responsble for setting up and running the RoSPA diploma for advanced instructors.
Founder member and committee member of the Motorcycle Rider Training Association (MRTA), member of the Law Society Panel of Expert Witnesses, Subject Matter Expert for the DSA, member of the BSI committee for crash helmets.
Currently advising overseas bodies on advanced training courses, and setting up the new City and Guilds advanced rider and instructor qualifications, freelance contributor to Motorcycle Voyager magazine and consultant to various bodies on Motorcycle Protective clothing.
