Passed test on second time of asking (1st time on U turn, did everything else right, 2nd time, was total crap but did u turn ok. Go figure.) in June 06 after meaning to do it for years.

Bought a Thunderace (1000cc) as first bike contrary to most peoples' opinions - the throttle and your brain are what determine how much in control you are of the bike, not the outright power/torque. Besides, I couldn't get on with 600s - too thrashy for my liking, I'm older and like any gear torque more than dropping it down 2 and making my ears bleed to go the same speed.

I'd recommend you go with what you know you can handle. Be that 400, 600, 1000, 1300, that's up to you, but whatever it is, use responsibly - you can kill yourself - or anyone else - on a 125. The faster bikes mean you have less time for error avoidance. Be safe. (Right, I'll get off my high horse now. For sure I only been riding a year, but I've done the high power turbo 4wd 170mph cars bit, and maybe I grown up. A little Smile )
