Hi, passed my test (direct access) about 5 years ago, bought a Gpz500s (which I still have) and used it to commute to work in all weathers untill recently. I now also have a Zx7r which I love although it could do with going on a diet. I have a new job with no commuting so I might well sell the Gpz- I would recommend it as a superb first bike- low seat height (I only have short legs!) and plenty quick enough to start with.
