This is the hondaman, from New Zealand. howdy all.
Took up riding seriously in the 70s in Australia. cb750K models.
We used to put 21inch fat tyres on the rear and do a few cosmetic things to them do give them a custom look. We bought hoshimira 900cc kits and bored our 750 motors out. Gave those "Kwakas" a good run for their money. Liked the sound of the Zs though, so a bought one. In 79', the harley lowriders hit the shop floor at Burling and Simmons, (Harley dealers) out parramatta rd in Sydney, so me and a mate bought one each. 1200cc $6,000. Five weeks later, they bought out the same style with the eighty cubic inch motor. So back mine went, primarily because a mate in the fashion business used my bike for some photo sessions with his Leather range, and he pranged it in Coogee. Hit one of those silent policeman coming down the hill at night. He paid up so I was back to the dealers to buy the new model with the eighty cubics. 1300cc. Both were nice handling bikes, but you had to get rid of the big exhaust pipe that was standard that kept scraping on the ground when you laid it over. FLXH or something...
Now, many years later I have been given a project., to rebuild a CB750f 1984. I'll look forward to working with the interested forum members as the the bike rebuild progresses.
