I started off on two wheels in September 2002 as I needed cheap transportation for commuting. I bought a moped, a JogR. It seemed logical at the time the commute to work is very short - easily walkable, but I'm just a lazy b*stard at heart.
The JogR was a horror story in the winter. I really got p'ed off and was late for work on numerous occasions when I could have just walked. I fell for the popular Italian Piaggio X9 125 Evolution - another scooter - not long after getting the JogR, but managed to hold off 'til December 2003 before buying one.
I got the big bike bug after that and only held onto the X9 for six months. I decided to do my DAS and move to a bigger bike, one with gears. I did a DAS course at ProScot in Kirkcaldy under the tutelage of Bill (CBT/125's), Donald (125's) and Gary (500's). I sat and passed my full bike test on 23/04/04 and moved to the Suzuki GSX600F Teapot (pics in sig) in late June '04.
