My first bike was mid-80s Suzuki TS50ER which I wrote off. An employer made me provide 'something with a motor on it' to use for work in '98 so, as I had moped entitlement on my car license, I bought the cheapest thing I could (when I'd rather have just used a pedal cycle) a 49cc Hero Puch 'Turbo Sport'. I kid you not. No it didn't have a turbo & it wasn't sporty. It did kind of stop working despite my best efforts so I did the CBT and got a CG125E in 2001. I passed the practical test on it on 23.01.03 and am still using it, though it has shown its limitations. Can I afford / do I want something bigger to commute between London & Reading at weekends?
