Despite dabbling with a DT on some private land as a teenager, I was a bit late in realising my teenage dream, getting a CBT and a GZ125 Marauder about ten years later than I should have. I had a bit of a crash and promptly bought another to stave off the boredom. I learnt about seized brakes and incompetent mechanics the hard way but somehow stayed upright and squeezed through as the last of the 33bhp test passes.

I rode out my 33bhp years on a lemon of an XV535 bought from a well known dealer. Unimpressed with the aftercare but I got quite good at diagnosing faults. It took me everywhere , sprouted fittings for all the luggage and piled on the miles.

I got rear ended and made the mistake of fixing all the shiny bits, but I didn't want to roll the dice on another 33bhp bike.

After nearly a year of enjoying full power, I got a broken engine for Christmas. I enacted threat of "sell it and buy a bandit". Local garage think they might have offended me as in the first year of owning the bike they only saw it for new tyres.
