The most I've ever had out of mine was 70mph Wink. Theoretically it can do 155.

My friend says he managed to get 142mph out of my bike allong the A1M arround peterborough services area. 4 lanes of clear open road.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone on here gone past 200? Any turbo charged Hyabusas on the forums? hehe

I've seen an indicated 131 on my clock at the end of the summer on a thrash back from Donington Park. The book says it should do about 141-145. But I'd need tolose some weight, get tucked well in and have a long stretch of tarmac to see it I reckon.

As for 200mph. Ask Mr C. (Or look at his signature! Wink Laughing )

Indicated 150 - I tucked in and lay down as the needle went past 110 and 150 came up in no time at all - surprised me how quickly it got there; literally seconds - sitting up knocked off 10mph like a light switch ...

Indicated 160+ bassenthwaite lake bypass cumbria. CBR600 + 11 stones of shitbag!Dont know what that equates to in real terms. RIDE magazine special on the CBR600fx claimed a measured top speed of 161 so I bet you can see some inpressive clock speeds!! Oh yeah and erm, it was my mate that was riding it too officer...

59MPH Indicated coming down a very steep hill, with feet on pillion pegs and head right down. Couldn't meet the elusive 60MPH. Laughing

Does anyone fancy betting some money that this thread will end up turning into a big fat argument due to someone talking bullcrap about their top speed? Shocked

But since you're asking Smile 75mph indicated is the fastest my wee Tw125 has gone. It was on a huge downhill stretch that had a 60mph limit, and then changed into a 70mph duel carridge way at the bottom. Well recommended that hill (It's the run along the A417 in between Cirencester and Gloucester down from the Air Balloon Pub if somone knows it). Smile

I had a cb500 for a day, your favourite 500 twin or whatever, struggled 100 out of it, my hornet struggled 130 and thats a 90bhp 4cylinder 4, so tbh i doubt a faired 500 twin would be doing 130mph. Hornets quick to 120 then it starts creeping.

You only had a hundred out of you CB? What were you doing pedaling it? Razz
I had 115 Indicated from my GS500, that was on a long straight road.

I got the GPZ upto an indicated approx 127MPH also on a long straight road, the A50 to be exact, also the claimed top speed of the GPZ is 127MPH and It shouldn't supprise you faired bikes go faster than unfaired ones Razz.

Only seen an indicated 62mph on mine so far, but still need to run it in so I cant go above 8Krpm. Doubt I'd get much past 75 even when it is run in though, but I didn't really buy it for straight line speed to be honest.

Fastest I've ever been is 172mph indicated on the back of my dad's TL-R, Very Happy.

Had the VFR at the limter in 6th with the help of a large hill.

'Indicating' 150MPH. At least I figure so, since 6,500rpm is an indicated 70MPH and it was doing 14,500RPM.

Probably more like a real 130 though.
