Legally it's insurance, but I think you have to pay some ridiculous excess. like, thousands.

Wow thats impressive. I would find that very helpful for picking up a bike and riding it home.

Doesn't look like it covers test rides though, I think you have to actually own the bike. Not usually a problem, but one place I went to asked me for insurance details before I could test ride one of their bikes, as they don't cover people on their own insurance. Needed to be FC aswell Confused

Sounds like they are fobbing you off.

A few places offer various free-insurance schemes in the hope you'll take out insurance with them at the end. Like the free samples you get in supermarkets sometimes Smile.

So basically it was a 'no you can't test ride until I know you're going to part with some cash' kinda attitude? The place I got the Gixxer from had a better idea. They said I could test ride the bike aslong as I was happy with everything else i.e. price, mechanical condition etc. So it became sale subject to test ride.

just gave them a bell to do it on the bandit.

you need to be over 22 because the company they do it with (highway insurance) wont do any younger than that... even tho the site says so.
The guy also said try nowrich union as they do a free 7 days ride away policy.

You have to own it, and i would of been paying £750 exess.

Steve.
