Ah, that reminds me I need to dig mine out from wherever I threw them at the start of the "summer", I wussed out and bought some oxford ones though
Good job on those though, it'd be interesting to see how they compare to mine ____________________ Now: '00 Kawasaki ZRX1100R - Past: '84 Yamaha DT125, '89 Kawasaki KLR600, '97 Yamaha XJ600N

Well, I'm not sure if these qualify as cheap as they actually didn't cost me anything
The frame is steel banding you find around bricks e.t.c.
its easy to drill through (the frame is drilled and riveted together also holding the vinyl in place)
The vinyl is seat covering kindly donated to me by a friends former workplace, its flexible, tough and pretty water resistant (not tested but I'm sure i will in good time)
Its not quite perfect, because its so rigid its strange to get used to when your normally moving your arms wherever you like.. really it could have done with being rigid in places and semi loose in others
But overall its still better than a commercially available one, it doesn't foul the controls, its infinitely adjustable (just bend it into place), you can get your hands in/out with no fuss at all and you know its going to fit your bike.
Next stage is the furry innards, couple of adjustments to make as well. ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |
