Just been reading about and watching vids of a kid called Peter Lenz, his an 11 yr old Canadian kid.
https://www.performanceundergear.com/PUG/images/Peter%20Lenz.jpg

When he raced a mini moto he was undefeated for 28 races.
This is his first year on a full sized GP framed bike and his results aren't looking to shabby so far- https://www.peterlenz.com/results/

This is a vid of him on a track day on a 22hp bike, riding with guys on large cc sports bikes, the other riders look a bit crap but his just amazing. The guy filming is also on a large cc bike and the track record holder, at points his struggling to stay with Lenz!

A name for the future maybe Shocked

doesnt look like he cant keep up with him..

and tbh its not really that hard to pass people in corners on a lower cc, lighter weighing bike..

and I really dont believe his age makes him any more amazing than the next club racer

The other guy filming nearly highsides twice in the short vid following a 22hp bike, as his the lap record holder you'd imaging that his pushing fairly hard through the corners to keep up. I know his backing off on the straights.

Its a race school so most of the people riding are probably road riders with little or no track experience so I don't expect that passing them is much trouble for him. Although the maturity he shows when doing so is impressive.

His age makes him more amazing then the next club racer as he has so little experience (first yr on a full sized bike). Look at his lines and how smooth he is, its more then just being a quick kid, his leaned stuff that most 10yr olds wouldn't be able get there heads round.
His also limited physically at only 5st and being too short to reach the floor. Even the tiny size and weight of a 150cc bike is going to be like a full sized racer muscling a 2000cc bike about.

You're kidding?

Riders get better with experience and are then only limited by "old" age. Imagine how fast he could be with five more years training - he'll then have the strength to handle larger bikes combined with a huge amount of experience for a 15/16 year old.

Consider than Casey Stoner didn't set the world alight on 125cc machines when he was younger - now look at him.

Yeah very sad! I did post at the time as I followed his progress since watching the above vid- https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=204233&highlight=peter+lenz

I guess we'll never know if he was going to become the next GP superstar.

My other hot tip was an Australian kid called Blake Leigh Smith, I saw him race in the Australian 125 championship and he won both races by about 20sec, had a pretty wild riding style so lots of comparison were being made to Casey Stoner. He had a wild card ride in 125GP a couple of years ago but I haven't herd anything about him since.

its a real shame when things like that happen...i guess the only consolation is that he died doing something he really enjoyed, and was really good at.
I'm quite jealous of little riders to be honest...not cause they race...just cause the only thing restricting the size of their bikes is their size! I'm 16, 6ft.2 tall with a fair build (not saying I'm fat...I'm just not skinny Razz) and on my moped...i look RIDICULOUS. ...well..more ridiculous than mopeds look normally... Rolling Eyes
