It was all a bit random actually ....

The day before I was looking into a tattoo artists/studio window looking at the tattoos ... the following day I found myself with a new tattoo on my arm!!

Didn't hurt at all!! Thumbs Up

But only moments after getting it, I wasn't sure if I did the right thing ... should have got a new car instead!! Shocked

Anyone else randomly/impulsively got a tattoo?

Mine was very random.I walked in the shop and got a tat there and then which i didn't like (and managed to get something i didn't even go in for) so i went back the next day to get more added to it,then the day after that to get some more added to it:

Not to everyones taste, but i'm happy with it Thumbs Up

https://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x13/fronterapics/tats/DSC00337new800x1067.jpg

Then yesterday i went in and got the start of some tribal on my left arm (which is what i originally wanted on my right arm)

https://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x13/fronterapics/tats/Capture.jpg

Obviously not finished yet,but it's gotta start somewhere.

(i actually went out to buy a crossbow, but walking past the tatt shop i couldn't resist Smile

I'm sure someone on here did something like getting a tattoo of some random skulls on impulse, then got a ridiculous Wizard tattooed on there too.

Neither of which he really wanted.

Just don't understand why someone would do that.

Personally I can't think of anything I would want permanently marked on me.

No problem with those who do, I just can't think of anything that I would want.

EDIT:

A-Ha! It was you. I think plenty of people said this at the time, but it is worth saying again. Muppet.

Oh, and tribal is soooooo 2005 dude, so bad call on that too. Triple fail.

It was me who got the random skulls which i really hated, but after going back for the other stuff i think it looks great. And it's a great starting point for what will end up as a full arm covering.

It's not about keeping up with trends,or doing what other people would expect you to get,it's about getting something you want regardless of what others think of it.
Like i said,i'm more than happy with what i have so far,and will be more than happier with the rest of it when its done.

Blue:

Pain wise,my first was suprisingly pain free but have to admit that the tribal one did hurt.I was pretty glad when it was finished actually.

Not serious pain but it was that annoying pain that really does your head in.

Come on Blue, you can't start a tat thread without putting a picture up for everybody to ridicule it. This is BCF God damn it.

And this Celtic Band stuff...must be alot of Celts about(did i spell that correctly? Laughing )
And while i'm at it...There once was a time when only hardmen and servicemen had tats..it gets harder and harder to get a decent fight these days..especially with all these woofters getting transfers Wink Razz Smile

Poppies are my favourite flowers so when my daughter visited I asked her to do me a tattoo that looked like a painting.

I've never understood why anybody would want a tattoo.
to me the thought of having a permanent, but deteriorating, image printed on/under my skin seems odd.

A lot of people have them though.

There are going to be a fair few middle-aged women with very large, dis-coloured blobs in visible places in 20 years' time.

Buy shares in tattoo removal!

TBF I've never understood why anybody would want to get married.
To me the thought of having a supposedly permanent, but deteriorating, nagging bitch under my skin seems odd.

A lot of people have them though.

There are going to be a fair few middle-aged men with very large, dis-heartening regrets in plain view of their friends in 20 years time.

Buy shares in a solicitors firm!

People will always disagree on points, and my opinion is that you only live once, and if it makes you semi-interesting to someone for a few hours then it's fine by me. Most things in this life seem counter-productive or stupid, but we do them anyway. Some girls are enchanted by my tattoos, simple as they may be, whilst others probably think I'm a tool.

I have no idea. Was wanting to make a comparison, but fell short on effort.
