Hi guys, Passed my DAS last oct and bought a lovely 2001 600 bandit now this is a great bike but I feel too big for it! Im 6ft3 16 stone and quite broad shouldered. I want to get something that has a taller and wider frame, is this something that exists on bikes around the 600cc mark?
I love the Fz6 and Z750, the FZ6 looks the same height but maybe a touch wider?
All ideas appreciated! I have 3 grand to spend once the bandit is sold |

TDM900
Brilliant bikes, not as cool as the other nakids you listed but, big, fairly light (at least 20kg lighter than the bandit), more power than the bandit keeps up with 600 nakeds no problem (tiny bit faster than a hornet 6 in a straight line), Top quality brakes (same as an R1) and it handles fairly well too, comforatble 2 up and decent MPG, cheap insurance as it has the oldman bike image. Sounds great with a set of cans. Most comfortable biek I have ever been on.
The only reaons this bike isn't right for you is if you don't like the look of it
Perspective, 6'5" of me on a TDM and next to a Desmo.

About the same height/build as you mate; the Desmo looks small simply because it's a squat race bike. If you sat on it I bet you'd fit perfectly well without looking comically 'huge'. ____________________ Current: Ducati Panigale R / Ducati Streetfighter S / Suzuki GSX-R1000 L5 |

Try Suzuki V-strom, Yama Tenere, Honda Trans-alp.... all the super-moto look are big!
But mostly, go out and sit on bikes. I'm 6' 4" and 16 stone; some bikes are comfy and some aren't. But I can't tell till I sit on them.
The v-strom was the best, but I couldn't buy one as they look more like a bus than a bike  ____________________ Honda Varadero 125cc => Suzuki Bandit 650 33bhp => 77bhp =>

V-Stroms look horrid, even worse than the TDM, I was chatting with a bloke with a V storm who was telling me I should have bought one instead of my TDM, I pointed out the sever corosion and poor finish on the metal parts his was a fun bike and have been looked after and was very clean, mine was 3 years older and had double the mileage and was in better condition and I clean it maybe twice a year.
It does have more power but aslo more weight, I very much doubt it's brakes are anywhere near as good as the TDM.
Not to mention the hidious rear end.

Super Teneres are ment to be good but you will pay abit of a premium for the light offroad capability, you will get more bike for your money with a TDM. ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.

If anything the current Fazers look NARROWER than most bikes out there by virtue of the exhaust being under the seat. You might still find it more comfortable than the Blandit (the pegs are a lot lower, which is why I didn't consider a Blandit as they were too high!) and if you put some lowers on then it 'bulks' the look out a lot more.
