hello,
this isn`t the greatest way i wanted to join this forum, but i have a problem with my bike
i have one of those midi bike things, but its running a 4 stroke 70cc honda c70 replica engine.
the problem i have is that my kick start is solid, you try and kick down to start the bike and it is stuck, you could put all of your weight on it and it wont move.
is it something serious, or is it just it maybe needs some more oil ??
can anyone help me as it is the only way i can start my bike
thanks

You need to find out if its the starting gear or engine thats seized before you go any further. My guess is if you remove the left engine casing there will be a nut that you can turn over the engine with. If you can you need a manual and take a look at the starting gear. If you cant turn the engine over using the nut.....ouch!
Just a thought, have you taken the kickstart off yet and put it back on? Just incase of a broken return spring. ____________________ You watching this rubbish?

You need to try turning the end of the crank and see if the engine will turn over. If it does, chances are the fault lies in the kickstart area (good). If it doesn't, your engine is seized for some reason (bad).
Take the left hand side cover off. You will see the magneto rotor (a big round metal thing). This is attached to the end of the crank, try to turn it round (make sure the ignition is switched off, the engine might start!). ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. i took the left hand casing off and found the magneto rotor with a little nut in the middle, turned the nut, my engine turned over so i put the casing back on and my bike now kicks, but doesn`t start...
i think i need to clean the carb out as it is flooding...
thanks for the help
