Last year I bought a 1973 Suzuki AC50 to restore and to date all I have done is get the engine running, then put it away LOL. Well hopefully this year I can get to work on it again.

The bike had been stood for 20 years in a workshop. Once I had got it home I set about freeing the piston as it was well and truly stuck. The tank still had 20 year old fuel in it which would of been four star. I stuck a new plug on it and hot wired the ignition and it started on the third kick Rolling Eyes .I tried to ride up the road on it but the gearbox was a little stiff.

I drained oil the gearbox oil and 2 stroke oil, drained the tank, cleaned out the carb, freed the gearbox, put in fresh oils and fuel, started her up and she ran like a dream.

I can honestly say Ive never seen one of them before. Its good to see people restoring bikes other than big sports bikes that are worth a fair bit of money, I will watch this with interest and I look forward to seing the outcome. Thumbs Up

Might take some time LOL, I'm a lazy fucker LOL. In its day the AC50 was a quick bike as the 50's never had restriction's on them.

The hardest part is trying to find an original mid level exhaust.
