Just remember I have to go to the dentist tomorrow, and I've got to take the bike... So I'll have to...

Take the tankbag to put the chain in...
Go to dentist...
Lock the bugger up...
Go into dentist with full bike gear and tankbag
Come out after operation
Get back into bike gear
Undo chain, put in tankbag
Go home, pack stuff in tankbag for GF's
Go back to work

Pain in the arse :'(

The worst was when I had my nose cauterised, hurts like buggery and with the air passing through the vents on my helmet the air made my nose sting like hell, only upside was that I didn't have to pay the extortionate prices for parking that you get at Hospitals.

To get the other side done I took the car, arrived 2 hours late for my appointment when the car park was full and had to queue, if only the car had a siren fixed on it.

1. Cut a piece of String into one 12 foot length.
2. Tie one end of string around front doorknob.
3. Put helmet on.
4. Attach other end of string to offending tooth through visor.
5. Start Bike Up.
6. Give it the Dogs Danglies.
7. Let the Clutch out.
8. Close Eyes and Grimace.

Hey Fockin' Presto - No Dentist, No tooth, No need to take your tank bag or lock into Town. The only downside is a slight speech impedement for a couple of hours Thumbs Up

Toby.

Ever heard of a top box?

Wonderful invention.

Makes tankbags a thing of the past.

Get one for your next bike.

Investing? Hardly. Ever heard of ebay? You buy second hand. Then you sell seperately when you part with the bike. No money lost. Unfortunately I see Toby at the grand old age of 55 on his CG, talking about getting ready to do his DAS.

Toby.

Just get a disk lock mate, and put it in your pocket or under your seat Wink Thumbs Up

No tank bag required.

For what it's worth, I wear a full sized Oxford Lifetime rucksack most of the time - very comfortable. And, I can get my very large sarny box and at least 12 cans of Stella in there without problems Razz

But you can put a long-reach disk lock through your spokes, ya' know Thumbs Up

I've still got the one I used to use on my hired CG a year ago. And I still use it on my GPZ now Thumbs Up
