drawing funds from bank afetr paying in>?

Hi does anyonek now how long it takes for the funds you pay in at the highstreet bank to show in your account?my brother wants me to order somthing of the internet and so he gave me the money so i can pay it into the bank and use my card to buy the items,i just want to make sure the funds are in there first.

If you go in and get the cashier to pay it in then it will be in your account straight off.

Cheques normally take 5 working days in a personal account, although you can pay a premium for an express clearance.
Business accounts take 3 working days.
Cash is there immediately.
