well it is nearly done!!! been a long wait but i'm really pleased to have it back again after being round a freinds house in boxes for the last 6 months.

new parts bought for the old girl:
screen
fuel tap
rear wheel
chain and sprokets

i have learned a lot with the project and can't wait till the 1st august when i have her booked in for the MOT

I know that feeling Laughing I have already stated that the knowledge that I have learnt taking my FZR apart is so valuable for the future.

Good luck with the MOT Thumbs Up

its the 88 model with the rear drum brake mate

just been out to start her and she is smoking quite a lot i know 2 strokes should but should it get less when it is warmed up? or will a good old long run sort it out as it hasn't been ridden properly for a good 7 months maybe more.

i really can't wait to get out there and learn to ride the thing now, thanks for all the kind comments Very Happy its gonna be a fun summer holidays Very Happy Cool

also is £315 a good price for insurance? 18 living in Woking, surrey on third party only and that is off an internet quite from ebikesure

Not great. I'd phone up all the insurance companies you can, don't do the online quotes. You'll probably be able to carve the quote in half.

A good 20 mile thrash will clear the smoke, more than likely a lot of old oil in the exhaust Thumbs Up
