Hi guys..

I have decided, i am going up to Scotland next month and then back down through Wales and across to Isle of Man. It'll take about a week for the whole trip (can't get more time off work) and im hoping for someone from this forum to join me.

It'll be a very good experience for me and others who havent been travelling before or never been that far north!

I could meet people on the way up north and carry on with them to our final destination. I will be taking my camping equipment but will look out for little out of the way house/hotel if raining heavily. I would like to camp out abit because it would be fun. Thumbs Up

Im especially looking forward to the beautiful scenery and roads.

If anyones been and done the Scotland trip could you please suggest and advise me on different places to go to. I will be meeting up with Preludedragon when im up in Glasgow.

Thanks Rift.

Rift have a look here: https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=90075

It may be of interest to you and these people are actually very good friends of mine Very Happy Thumbs Up

Depending on how youre working out your route, and depending on how much time you spend riding through the north of England, one possibility I'd recommend is the lake district where there are beautiful roads and scenery and wonderful places to camp. Look here for a few: https://www.lakedistrictcamping.co.uk/

https://www.gillsidecaravanandcampingsite.co.uk/index.htm

https://www.fishergroundcampsite.co.uk/ (WARNING:you have to cross the hardknott pass and wrynose pass to get to this)

I'm off to the lake district over the next few days myself after a visit to see family down in the north east, i'll be going via hartside (the A686 with a stop off at the hartside cafe: https://www.hartside.com/hartside.html)

Seeing as you mention next month but not any specific dates, I thought I may as well mention this: https://www.storminthecastle.co.uk/
A few of us from BCF Scotland will be going.

I will definatly do this trip but after both my work places give me time off. Its not too clever from me to post a topic without confirmation, sorry.

I will update this post when i've bargained with my bosses.

Thanks and sorry again.
