Have had this Honda MBX50 for just over two years now, rode it for a year while I was 16, then upgraded to the RD. It never let me down through the whole 12 months. Its restricted so its damn slow, top speed of 32mph isn't great lol, but its an ideal bike for learners who don't fancy a 'de-rezzed' scooter deathtrap thing. The engine is bulletproof to say the least, and it sips petrol, a fiver used to last me about 2 weeks lol. Am now in the process of cleaning it up and selling it as its not being used, have spent the past month prepping and spraying the bodywork, have just the tail piece to do then the spraying is done. Just needs a few more things spraying, like the swingarm, then I'll sell it.

What it looks like at the moment:

Very tidy so far mate, is it a geared jobby or a twist 'n go?

I'd think about buying a new exhaust off E Gay if it was mine though, or get some heat proof paint.

Keep up the good work.

Since the last update, all the panels have now been sprayed black and its looking good. Fired it up today and its running spot on, idling good, clutch feels smooth still and the gearbox is nice. Brought back memories of the days I was riding it lol. Also sanded down the exhaust and gave that a few coats of black high temp paint. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

Its going up for sale very soon for those that might be interested in it! Thumbs Up

Are you sure about that? What with one being a HONDA and one being a KAWASAKI.

Used to have an MBX80FWDD. Much faster than the 50 and you could pick it up it was so light.

Yeh the 50 is as light as a feather, so easy to pick up and move about in tight spaces. Its a flickable bike aswell, probably due to its light weight, great for flinging into the corners, it might not be a rocket, but I had a great year of getting low into the corners on it. Great little starter bike and it never once gave me any grief! Thumbs Up
