I had to leave the 'bike in the hands of my father. When he was ina position to try and start it, it wouldn't start.

So off to a local mechanic it went. They got it running, and now it's just a case of fitting the new caliper, chain, and whacking on the body work.

Bandit's back in action babyyyy!

I was checking out the MZ racing website when I was supposed to be working Shifty and they look really uncool yet sublimely cool when raced Thumbs Up Its a shame you cant have front fairings on them.

Checked ebay and there are quite a few for sale, all cheap and at different levels of knackeredness.

I have enjoyed breaking a bike and putting it back together again, maybe an MZ or the likes would be a nice little fun project Wink

You may have given me an idea Thumbs Up Laughing

I had amazing fun doing up my MZ, spent a fair bit of money. Didn't skimp, i.e bought decent rearsets, new rear shocks etc.

But yet my bike is not even close to competitive standard to race.
I've also now found racing to be INCREDIBLY expensive.

So that kinda rules out racing, fair enough, just do trackdays.

On most tracks, the bike gets absolutely pissed all over on the slightest hint of a straight.

So after all my hard work and a fair bit of money, I'm left with a bike that's not much use for racing or trackdays.

Don't get me wrong, I love my MZ, and I will continue to piss off novice groups at tight tracks. But it's far from a good idea for the masses.

Practicality won out I'm afraid. It's a fairly practical bike, I may aswell take full advantage of that.

Wahey.

Front is the same nasty shape as my Divvy, it's nearly the same colour as my divvy and I got a top box too (flippin handy aren't they!)

Looks much better with the black frame bud.

Such kind words, thank you all.

I'm quite happy with it. Those pics make it look a bit better than it actually is sadly. But I'm happy with my work, and I like the frame.

Shame the new can's quieter than the old one.

Looks better than before you crashed it, even though the old Bandits do suck. Razz

Nice one.

I don't like the faired ones much anyway, but I do prefer my style of fairing to yours.
