Final Fantasy

I played two games on my megadrive, called Phantasy Star 2 and 3. I loved the games, the battles, gaining HP and magic etc.
I played briefly the Final Fantasy on the PS1, remeber i think it was 3 discs or something silly.
It was good because it didnt really follwo from the megadrive ones.

If i got the lastest one on the PS2, would i understand whats going on or do i need to go back to a game?

Although don't start the debate of which FF is best.. Very varied in opinion..

Alot of people would say 7 or 8, followed by some hardcore 4 lovers.

but my favourite is X just love it, played it about 4 times through. Avoid X-2 though, that sucked.

And 11 is awesome online apparently, but i've not tried it.

Final fantasy X is responsable for wasting huge periods of my life. Just when you think you have whooped arse as much as possible, you find new and exciting ways to whoop arse even more (and harder monsters to whoop yours).

Mate of my brothers has accumulated the equivalent of six months constant gaming time (day and night) on X1 online. Scarey!

I also agree. X2 is for homosexuals. Noone ever effectively beat someone up using a gun that fires bunches of flowers. The character progression system sucks too.

I'm playing FF7 at the moment, it was a good one too.
