I always though it was a mass pc-to-pc network with no central point just exsiting on thousands of computers like the AI program in the terminator films.

It kinda disturbs me that people sharing music/films and other stuff causes so much of an uproar when sick fucks are sharing child porn on these networks and nobody does anything about it.

I like free music/films but I don't think it'd be a bad thing to close p2p sites to stop these pervs swapping kiddy fiddling.

I couldn't agree more with your first statement BUT, The second one is like saying ban motorbikes because certain people break the law by speeding etc on them

This is no bad thing. Limewire (the company) are making money from people who just want to share and download files. They're hardly whiter than white and I don't have much sympathy for them.

As the software is open source there is also no way of stopping anyone from beginning to work on alternate versions, such as frostwire. Current versions of limewire will continue to work exactly the same in the future anyway; only future versions will be affected by whatever filters are put in place.

This will make next to no difference to limewire itself, it's just a chance for the record companies to pocket a few mil. You can hardly expect an unbiased account from MTV news. Laughing
