GRRRRRRRRRR

Somehow got a virus despite having a firewall + virus scanner + regular spyware checkers etc!!!

I get this error when I try to open anything, but internet still works I can go on some websites but not all... seems anything to do with windows won't work?? firefox works but internet explorer doesn't..

"This application has failed to start because wininet.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

msn messenger doesnt work, no programs work I just get this fuckin error message, this means I can't open a virus scanner to try and get rid of it!!! Crying or Very sad

Any idea what this is and how to get rid?

The library file wininet.dll, contains program components for a variety of internet related operations. If wininet.dll is unavailable or stopped, internet or network related software will not work on your system. If possible, you should leave wininet.dll as-is.

wininet.dll is flagged as a system process and does not appear to be a security risk. However, removing Internet Extensions Library may adversly impact your system.

The Spy Bot database currently registers wininet.dll to Microsoft.

This is part of Microsoft Windows.

try this link if you can get on it, it has numerous ways of fixing this via a online scan.

if you cant get on it then here is the .dll file you need to put back in your system 32 folder.

I think Confused

When I've had trouble like this I've used this site for help

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/

There are some pretty helpful guys on there and have sorted me out twice when I thought I'd have to get someone else to do it.
Didn't get pissed off when I kept fucking it up either. Laughing Thumbs Up

Or go to Tools/Folder Options and on the view tab, select Show Hidden Files and Folders.
