I can't believe how bad this game is and i've only just rented it.

Well I paid my £3.95 and wow its so bad, i'm off every corner.

Now i'm not some gaming virgin, I love moto gp 4 on the ps2.

But this is soo hard its unplayable, I started doing my licenses, but honestly couldn't be bothered.

Now I know people will say give it time, you'll get the hang, but I just can't be bothered, it hasn't gripped me at all. Just pure frustration.

I'm not even going to bother making a backup of it, cos I think the 20p for the blank DVD is just too much.

If i'd paid £30 for this i'd be in tears.

Its just sooo bad.

Sorry rant over.

Tourist trophy really is quite crap but it is true that it gets better with time.

Once I got all the licenses over and done with, there was nothing more to the game. Everything is just too easy, even with pro mode on. Confused I'd play it to complete it but whats the point..."ooh, I jsut won a new leather suit, cooool!!!" It is quite shit.

If you want realism, get the iom tt racing game, much more realistic. And MUCH more focus is needed if you want to get round the lap sub 17mins 30secs. Wink

That's where your'e going wrong.. your'e comparing a game that is trying to be a bike riding simulation (Tourist trophy) against a game that is - mostly - arcade based.

On tourist trophy it's hard to nail the apex on a bend at 100mph, because it's hard to nail the apex on a bend at a 100mph on a real bike. That's why it's appealing. Whereas i found, with MGP4, you just hoon it to a bend.. mash the brake and apply very slight pressure on the analog stick to get your knee down. In TT, it has you reading the lines on the tracks alot better.. in my opinion anyway.

I Enjoyed Riding spirits 2 because the bikes handled better than the MotoGP bikes (even if they all sounded like 125 2-strokes).

And IOM Superbikes was even closer to the real thing, you feel like your'e actually fighting the front end to stay down whilst hooning round a roundabout on that.

So if they could make a game that mixed RSII's singleplayer 'campaign' with IOM SB's handling.. that'd be an awesome game.

I still like TT, doing 100mph rolling burnouts is a laugh Smile

Infact the only motogp games i've enjoyed was the first one on the xbox.. and then motogp 06 on the 360. They all feel to arcadey for me.

I have to admit that I too have lost interest in the game after the first week of owning it. Haven't played it since.

The best thing about it was when we (BCF members) posted their best times and then we tried to beat that time. That was good because the competition was actually good, unlike the easy competition that racing in the game provides.

I may give it another chance though and try to beat all of those best times that have been set! Wink

TT's one of my all-time favorite games and I am grateful to the pit of my soul that Polyphony Digital saw fit to bestow it's glory upon me. It should come as no surprise that I own all four games in the Gran Turismo franchise (excluding Director's Cut) and am equally grateful for those as well.
