Just to add to this, a few haulage firms that i drive for via agencies have put up notices in drivers rest rooms & on pumps , telling drivers not to brim tanks and to ensure fuel cap are fitted correctly. As a lot of HGV drivers ride bikes as well, all companies need to make sure all there drivers aware of spillage and its results, which could have an effect on drivers being off work, as a result of spillage (having to pay extra for drivers to cover for injured driver)

I realise the document is old, I was posted a paper copy of it with the release date Wink

It's still quite nice to get a response even if it is somewhat unsatisfactory.

Yeah, I found that, which is no doubt why they do it!

After all the bitterness at a government that does nothing for you, the fact that they actually reply and make some effort - however in effectual - to put your mind at rest is quite cool!
