Seriously, whats the point of them? They are as useful as planning your day around the Suns astrology section.

Me and a mate have been trying to plan a 250 mile ride through the dales and lake district. Been watching the 5 day forecast all week, checked it at 12 today and it has a big shiny sun for friday and saturday, so I book the day off work, as does my mate (as we cant do weekends due to family stuff) then I just check it again now and its showing solid rain for both days.

Useless tossers. The only time its vaguely accurate is when they are giving the present weather - even then its often wrong.

Well if they were always right you would only ever check them once a week.

Getting them wrong keeps you wondering, therefore checking more often

Wink

Im talking bullshit by the way Thumbs Up

They've been on about rain all week here but it's just dry & windy.
You should go anyway - its seldom as bad or as good as they suggest.

I find the forecasts by ForecastFox (supplied by Accuweather) to be more accurate than many others, especially the BBC..

they all seem to be so pessimistic..

It is also very hard to predict exact weather more than a few days in advance anyway, so week ahead predictions, are a general guide at best
