My final ride on my TZR was also the hardest

Just took my TZR for one last blast around before I move up to a bigger bike tomorrow

Me and my girlfriend drove it right up the A48 from Cardiff to Bridgend (About 17 miles each way, 90% of it is on a 60mph road).

My god, it was WINDY! Seriously, I had to fight with the handlebars to keep going in a straight line and a few times I felt the bike seem to disappear underneath me. My girlfriend said she felt the back end slip quite a few times - it was so bad I was considering stopping and heading back home.

But we carried on anyway, and aside from the wind nearly blowing us off the road (and the prick in the BMW with a bad-boy exhaust driving 2 feet behind me before overtaking me leaving about half a metre between us) it was a nice ride and it's good to know that my lil' TZR still has a lot of life left in it

It's a sad day. I'm very excited about my new bike but at the same time I'm sad to see this one go, we've been through a lot

How about you guys, are you sad to see your little babies leave the nest? Or are you just too busy watering at the mouth over your next one

Awww well hope you enjoy the new bike!! Yeah it killed me to let my NSR go - I was way too fond of it!! But the new bike always makes it worthwhile! I'm not as attached to my CBR though and honestly don't think I'll mind letting it go!

Yes its the divvy, and i only got the zee 2 months ago ,so it aint be up that long.

Dan likes it, really needs to be seen to aprecitate the divvys beauty, missing it already

I have always been upset when my baby's move on...

My 50cc i wasnt overly upset about. I mean obviously i was upset, but at that point i was looking straight at my new baby - my NSR.

Now my NSR i actually cried when i let it go, i realy wish i hadnt now - i was far too eager to rush through and get onto a "big bike" because i thought thats where the happiness was to be found... What i didnt realise what that my NSR did more for me than i could ever have imagined. What i took for granted on her i realy missed with the new bike.

After rushing to get rid of my NSR to move up, and seeing the pain that i went through and how much i regret it now, i made a life decision a little while ago. I decided that how ever tempted, im not going to rush out and buy the biggest bike i can as fast as i can. The way i see it now, i have the rest of my life to do this, and do that on this and that, and theres no need to rush it. When you rush things you miss out, i missed out on a great deal when i sold my NSR and i dont want to do that again. The problem would be simply solved if i was to get another one... but "downgrading" in size from a 500 to a 125 just isnt feasable, and as so i have missed out on what could have been the best year of my riding life - ill never know now.

Anyway, despite the abuse i give my GS5 both to everyone that knows me, and here on the forum, i will definately be sad to see this one go. I have done sooo much on it, and im so glad i have done. I see people saying "Oh yeah well i took my new '06 bandit down to yorkshire the other weekend for a camping trip"... ok as cool as that is, ive done that on a clapped out 12 year old GS500 with a weeks worth of camping stuff and the g/f on the back, those days i will never forget

Anyway, im drivveling.

Yes i miss all my bikes.

Its quite a hard seat, specially compared to the luxurious throne of the divvy, go look on the zee forum- lots of people moan about it not just me

Vee I freaking love the Divvy - it's awesome

I've done 150 miles total since I bought it off you at about half 5? And it's now nearly 3am

The bike has a hell of a kick in it - I was actually very surprised. And the engine is deceptively quiet up until you get into the high revs, where it roars like something from a Peter Jackson movie

The gf loves the bike - she just wishes I gave her a bit more of a warning before I slam open the throttle and she gets sucked into the top box

My brother also loves it... As does my half-brother... and my sister's fiance... and my best mate... and my other best mate... and this random fit girl who I rode home tonight.

Currently the Divvy is taking a well deserved rest on my driveway. It was a hell of a chore getting it into the driveway I can tell you that... you don't realise how much bigger and heavier it is than a 125 until you try to park and lock the bloody thing!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Vee publicly for an excellent purchase, his very helpful nature (He threw in a few freebies and escorted me back to the M4) and just generally being a great biker. Maybe some day in the future you might have a potential buyer for a certain Zed....

But that's a long way off
