Evening all. I've got a new thermostat coming tomorrow to replace the current (broken one) I have just now, and I need a bit of advice with the electrictrickery.

The current one is a bog standard temperature control with the time controlled by a seperate tank. The new one has a built in timer so obviously the wiring will be slightly different - I hope I have enough wires to be able to set this one up.

Here's the current one as it stands (I don't know how obvious it is, but there's a small black wire going from number 2 to number 4, and the green earth(?) is just hanging loose)

And here's the wiring diagram for the new one:

Any help will be most appreciated.

Cheers guys! Thumbs Up

Thanks for that mate, nice and speedy! Thumbs Up

Can I just clarify one bit though? on the first line you say:

Brown (LIVE) Pin 2&4 ---------------> L & A2 (do the same, link with black wire)

Do you mean the red wire that is in pin 2 should go into L, and the black wire should go between L and A2? Sorry for such a numpty question, but it's too cold for me to mess this one up! Laughing
