Personal Statement help: Any Managers?

Hi,

As apart of my university course, second year, I have to write a personal statement up to 500words, explaining why I would be appropriate for a certain position, describing my strengths and relevent qualifications and attributes.

Just wandering if there is any body in high job positions who have to read CVs, application forms etc. who would be able to give me some advice.

Hi,

Its not a real statement, its a hyperthetical one where we have to write up as if we've finshed university with a first. The reason its part of our researcing subject is because apparently so many graduates fail to even get to the interview stage of a job application because they cannot write a decent personal statement that would get short listed. Its worth 10% of this subject.
