I wsn't sure about this, but I figured it takes half an hour to put it on and if it looks shit or I get sick of it, it can easily be taken off...
In the end I was pretty happy with the result, the red is dark so its very subtle, even more so in real life than in the pictures. What do you reckon?

yeah it wasn't as much of a faff on as I expected it to be... you need a little bit of patience but it only took about 30 mins and that was taking my time. A paddock stand would of helped though, I had to keep moving the bike all over the place to get in at it. Obviously make sure you clean the wheels well beforehand because they'll be pretty greasy.

I'd say go for it, they only cost 3 or 4 quid and its not like its hard to peel them off again Thumbs Up

just "ok"? Razz

Not a fan of that funky hornet, alot of people seem to go overboard modifying hornets. I'd like to make a few changes on mine but I'm worried about making it look tacky. Maybe some nice renthals, braided lines, new exhaust (maybe blueflame)... thats it.

PS thanks to Delvard for telling me where to get that rim tape Thumbs Up

I agree Keen, its easy to go OTT on modifying bikes to the point that they simply look stupid Confused
I like mine as it is now, wont be doing anything else to it for the time being Thumbs Up

White to match the bodywork.

that had been my initial plan, but in the end I thought it would be too bright. Sounds stupid to say the red is more subtle, but it is. Also from the back it compliments little bits of red on the bike, such as the rear light and the kill switch. Maybe I spent too much time thinking about this? Confused

At least it's a single colour!

And... I didn't ask for people's opinions Razz.

Personally I don't think most race bikes look very good, including mine. However, race bikes need to look distinctive and this generally seems to take precedence over looking 'good'.

Nah the white would have looked a bit gay IMO
The red offsets the rest of the bike very nicely Thumbs Up I like it
The engine also looks extremely similair to the CBR400's and the older 600's engine configuration...I smell opertunity Mr. Green

yeah, thats what everyone does, colour matches with bodywork. Its what I was gonna do but my brother made me a mock up in photoshop and I didn't like it, stood out too much. The red is a bit different, I like the contrast. Besides the white bodywork is bad enough to keep clean, on the wheels it would be a nightmare. Who's Shirley? Smile

Looks nice, gives the bike a bit of character and focus. As nice as they are, white Hornets are a bit bland looking (except for that lovely high exhaust) and the rim tape sets it off nicely. Thumbs Up

It's a joke from the film "Aeroplane". The copilot says:
"Surely, you're not going to land the plane?!"
and the pilot replies:
"I am serious! And don't call me Shirley..."
